We love our Startup Weekend sponsors

Startup Weekend Wellington is hours away. The organising team is live and busy, but we want to take a moment to lay some wonderful love upon the great sponsors that have thrown their hardware, cash and mojo behind the event.

Wellington’s innovation champions see Startup Weekend as a grassroots engine for powerful ideas, energy and execution. Wellington City Council and Grow Wellington are backing SWWLG alongside fabulous companies 920, Optimal Workshop, iWantMyName and angel investment network AngelHQ.

Creative HQ, Wellington’s startup base, is home to SWWLG this time and is hosting as well as putting up cash and team to make it awesome.  @CitylinkNZL is laying on the internet connectivity for Startup Weekend with awesome Wi-Fi. Chief executive Nick Willis, an experienced start-up founder, loves backing events like Startup Weekend because of the energy and entrepreneurship in the room.

“We invest in connectivity, literally the fibre that keeps Wellington online and wire free, and to see the energy and innovation from the teams at Startup Weekend pumping through those pipes is exciting and exactly what we want to be supporting.”

National sponsors of Startup Weekend always get in behind the local events as well as backing the whole Startup Weekend family across Aotearoa. Huge thanks to Microsoft, Massey University, Xero and the awesome team at Startup NZ who keep it all together.

We wouldn’t be here without you all! Thank you. Kapai. Sweet as.
