Bizdojo A Go-Go

by

If it’s a funky, techie or creative new business, there’s a good chance you will find it based at The BizDojo. The start-up venue has generously opened its doors to Startup Weekend once again and is also backing entrepreneurs with a prize of temporary office space.

When they are not hosting 100 entrepreneurs for the weekend, Bizdojo prides itself on creating a collegial and fun co-working environment that helps start-up entrepreneurs to connect and leverage each others natural skills and strengths. “We want to become part of the start-up entrepreneur toolkit”, says BizDojo community manager Katherine Field. BizDojo currently has locations in both Auckland and Wellington and got the ball rolling by hosting the very first Startup Weekend ever held in New Zealand.

Co-working places have become an important part of the start-up scene in many global cities, allowing home-based entrepreneurs to get connected in the city without needing to commit to an expensive or long term full-time office space. The Wellington Startup Weekend team, in particular, has been hugely advantaged through having access to Kath’s amazing organisational skills, not to mention her positive “can-do” attitude. If you are starting a new venture or you know someone thinking about it – you definitely need to check out BizDojo.
